Its not working.

Kingston and I started talking about the seasons changing and it turned into a conversation about Christmas. I told him that during the winter is when Christmas comes and Santa comes and brings toys to good little boys. "Santa has elves that watch and if they see you throwing a fit, they will go back and tell Santa and he might not bring you any presents." There was a long pause during which Kingston looked like he was thinking.
Kingston: "I don't want any more presents".
How does this not work on him?

That is so funny! Luke does the same thing. We were trying to get him to go to bed on his own. If he could not have us lay down with him for two nights in a row we would take him to Chuck E Cheese. He was thrilled all day, until bed time. When I was tucking him in and he realized I wasn't going to lay down with him, he said, "Mommy, I not want to go to Chuck E Cheese."
